The Karachi Development Authority's Estate and Enforcement Department conducted an operation using heavy machinery against illegal encroachments on the 40-foot wide road at Commercial Plot No. SB 3/1, Block 11, Scheme 36, Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
In light of the orders of the Sindh High Court, under the Constitutional Petition No. 6231 of 2022, the Estate and Enforcement Department of the Karachi Development Authority, under the leadership of Director Estate and Enforcement Shakeel Siddiqui, conducted an effective operation with heavy machinery against illegal encroachments on the 40-foot wide road located at Commercial Plot No. SB 3/1, Block 11, Scheme 36, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, during which the encroachments were completely demolished. The said operation was directly supervised by Director General KDA Asif Jan Siddiqui, while full support was provided by the police to maintain security and law and order during the operation. Director General Karachi Development Authority Asif Jan Siddiqui said on this occasion that illegal encroachments in the city are a major obstacle in the improvement of Karachi’s infrastructure and restoration of urban facilities. He clarified that the Karachi Development Authority will continue to take indiscriminate action against illegal encroachments to restore the city of Karachi according to its original and best planning. He further said that all possible steps will be taken to remove all obstacles faced in this regard and the protection of government land should be ensured at all costs. Assistant Commissioner Gulshan Iqbal, SDPO Gulshan Iqbal, SHO Shahrah Faisal, Additional Director Estate and Enforcement Arif Ahmed, Faisal Ahmed, Sanaullah Sheikh, Rehmat Shah and other officers were present on the occasion.
