Senior officials of K-Electric met with Director General of the Karachi Development Authority (KDA), Asif Jan Siddiqui, at the KDA Civic Center. The delegation included Haris Jameel Siddiqui (Director Government Affairs), Sarmad Shah (Deputy General Manager Government Affairs), and Munir Ahmed Sheikh (Deputy Director). KDA Secretary Muhammad Arshad Khan and KDA Superintending Engineer Junaid Siddiqui were also present on the occasion. During the meeting, various matters related to mutual cooperation between KDA and K-Electric, as well as issues concerning K-Electric’s services, were discussed in detail. Technical and administrative challenges arising during ongoing development projects in Karachi, particularly those related to the relocation of utility services and coordination, were reviewed. The meeting emphasized that effective communication, a coordinated strategy, and prompt practical measures among the relevant institutions are essential for the timely completion of urban development projects. Various proposals and a course of action were also considered to remove obstacles hindering development activities as quickly as possible. The meeting also included a detailed discussion specifically on the obstacles affecting the ongoing Ayesha Manzil development project. Both organizations agreed to take prompt practical steps through mutual cooperation to resolve these issues immediately and ensure the uninterrupted completion of the project.
