Director General of the Karachi Development Authority (KDA), Zain-ul-Abideen Ansari, conducted a detailed early-morning visit to various KDA development projects being executed with the support of the Government of Sindh.

Director General Karachi Development Authority Zainul Abideen Ansari, in collaboration with the Sindh government, made a detailed visit to various development projects managed by KDA in the early morning and reviewed the ongoing development works on the spot. During the visit, the Director General KDA inspected the Munawar Chowrangi Underpass, Check Post 3 to Malir Expressway (Shahrah-e-Bhutto) and Gujar Nallah Connectivity projects. On this occasion, Superintending Engineer Junaid Siddiqui gave a detailed briefing to the DG KDA regarding the progress of the projects, technical matters and ongoing works. Executive Engineer Tariq Jalil and the concerned Assistant Executive Engineers were also present on the occasion. During the briefing, it was informed that the total cost of the Gujar Nallah Connectivity project is Rs 2,554.431 million, while a 9-km long dual carriageway is being constructed under the project. The width of the road is 7.9 meters while the length of the bridge is 583 meters and the width is 5.50 meters. Similarly, regarding the Check Post 3 to Malir Expressway (Shahra-e-Bhutto) project, it was informed that its total cost is Rs 1,449.459 million. Under the project, an 11.54 km long road is being constructed, which is 7.3 meters wide, while the length of the bridge is 125 meters and the width is 8 meters. Construction of an underpass in Munawar Chowrangi, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Scheme 36, East District Karachi with the support of the Department of Local Government and Housing Town Planning, Government of Sindh Estimated cost: Rs 1,485.150 million, Revised cost: Rs 2,026.487 million, Total length of the project: 727 meters, Length of the underpass: 493 meters, Width of the main carriageway: 7.3 meters, Dual track The width of the slip road is 3.05 meters while there are 2 lanes of 3.05 meters (on both sides of the main carriageway), the width of the service road is 3.65 meters (on both sides of the main carriageway). Director General KDA Zainul Abideen Ansari, while reviewing various parts of the projects, directed the concerned officers to ensure quality, speed and technical requirements in the development works at all times. He said that special attention should be paid to the timely completion of ongoing projects to provide better travel facilities to the citizens and the supervision of the work in the field should be continued effectively.
