A delegation of Local Bodies Reporters Association met with Director General Karachi Development Authority Asif Jan Siddiqui at the Civic Center. In the meeting, matters of mutual interest, the performance of the institution, urban development projects and the practical role of journalists were discussed in detail. The delegation included senior journalists as well as officials of the Local Bodies Reporters Association. On this occasion, senior journalists appreciated the efforts made by Director General KDA Asif Jan Siddiqui for transparency, improvement and promotion of public welfare projects in the institution. Director General Karachi Development Authority Asif Jan Siddiqui, while describing the role of journalists as positive and constructive, said that the media plays the role of a strong bridge between the public and institutions. He said that the Karachi Development Authority will maintain close contact with all like-minded development agencies for the development of Karachi and improvement in urban facilities. He assured the members of the Local Bodies Reporters Association that the agency will continue to cooperate fully with the media so that awareness of urban projects, development schemes and public interest initiatives can be effectively conveyed to the public. At the end of the meeting, the delegation thanked the Director General of the Karachi Development Authority Asif Jan Siddiqui and agreed to continue positive relations with the agency in the future.
